Government vows to compensate for Achrafieh losses

Secretary General of the Higher Relief Committee Brig. Ibrahim Bashir said on Monday that the government will issue a decision to compensate for the losses inflicted on the residents of the building that collapsed by providing accommodations. A six-story building collapsed on Sunday in Achrafieh, in Fassouh.

Bashir said that the committee chaired by PM Najib Mikati and includes seven ministers and deputy Prime Minister, intervened directly when the building collapsed and it is following up on the relief operations.
