Fire re-erupts at Wadi Jilo power plant
A fire re-erupted Sunday at a power plant in the region of Wadi Jilo, after the initial fire was put out at dawn, the state-run National News Agency reported.

According to reports, an oil and fuel leak caused both fires as fire-fighters rushed to the scene and attempted to contain the flames.

However, sources stated that the first fire was caused by a lightning that struck the station located in the water project in Wadi Jilo, completely burning the station.

The fire caused a power outage across 15 villages, as well as a shortage in water supply in at least 75 towns in the districts of Tyre and Bent Jbeil.
