Judge Sawwan indicts 8 Lebanese nationals and a Syrian for armed group linked charges
The state-run National News Agency reported on Thursday that the Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan indicted eight Lebanese nationals and a Syrian for belonging to armed groups involved in several terrorist attacks across Lebanon.

The Lebanese were indicted for triggering sectarian sedition in the northern city of Tripoli during the Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen clashes.

Meanwhile, the Syrian national who was identified as Khaled Rahhal was indicted for belonging to the Syrian armed group of Abou Khaled al-Sareeaa in the Wadi Hmeid area located on the outskirts of the border town of Arsal. He was charged with supplying weapons and ammunition.

They were all referred to the permanent military court for trial.

Arsal, located on the northeastern border region of Lebanon is host to many of Syria's refugees and is also feared to have become a safe haven for many of the fighters who regularly enter and exit the town to fight inside Syrian territories.
