LAF unit conducts raids, detains fugitives in Beirut's Tariq al-Jedideh

The Army Command- Orientation Directorate said a Lebanese Armed Forces unit carried out raids on Monday morning in Beirut's Tariq al-Jedideh area and arrested four Syrian nationals.

The Syrians were arrested on suspicion of being affiliated with terrorist organizations and for being inside the Lebanese territories without identification papers.

"Six Lebanese citizens and an Australian national were also detained in the Koura region," the Army Command said, noting that the detainees were referred to the concerned authority.
