FPM to suggest plan to resolve trash crisis - MP Aoun
Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun announced on Tuesday that all the Lebanese people are calling for an electoral law based on proportional voting.

Following the bloc’s weekly meeting, MP Aoun indicated that Free Patriotic Movement will suggest a new plan to resolve the waste management crisis, noting that referring this dossier to municipalities will not tackle the issue.

The lawmaker said that "problems should be addressed through dialogue or else we will face a colossal failure."

MP Aoun concluded by praising everyone who participated in the demonstration that was held Friday (September 4).

Thousands of Free Patriotic Movement supporters filled Beirut's Martyrs Square last Friday determined to voice support to their party and to the calls of FPM leader MP Michel Aoun.

During the demonstration, Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil noted that the Free Patriotic Movement is seeking the ratification of an electoral law on the basis of proportionality in a bid to serve all Lebanese citizens.

For his part, head of the FPM, MP Michel Aoun, hailed in a brief televised speech the "loyalty and solidarity of the partisans," stressing that “this glorious day will be the beginning of reform in Lebanon.”
