Change and Reform bloc reiterates support to “legislation of necessity”
The Change and Reform bloc reiterated on Tuesday that it supports the so-called “legislation of necessity” amid the presidential vacuum, stressing however that the issues must be agreed on before heading to parliament.

“We reiterate our stance over the legislation of necessity, which was raised due to the presidential vacuum and the extensions,” bloc secretary MP Ibrahim Kanaan said following the weekly meeting.

As for the presidential vacuum, Change and Reform bloc said that the president of the republic must be “influential in his community as stipulated by the Taef Accord.”

Kanaan also criticized Lebanese leaders who make statements against corruption and financial crimes, adding that if they were serious they would have supported the efforts deployed by Change and Reform Bloc leader Michel Aoun to pass anti-corruption laws in Parliament.
