PM Salam says will launch decisive stance should waste crisis fail to be resolved within days
Prime Minister Tammam Salam declared Thursday that forging solutions to the waste crisis has failed due to conflicts between rival political parties.

“Should a radical solution fail to be reached within days, I will be taking the appropriate decision,” he said.

Salam’s remarks came during his meeting with political science students from Saint Joseph University at the Grand Serail, whereby they discussed the current situation.

Answering a question concerning the obstruction of the governmental work and whether or not he has set a ceiling for the cabinet’s survival, the prime minister said that he is still attempting "to broker a solution to the situation but once he reaches a deadlock, he will declare a decisive stance.”

On another note, Salam said that the state is capable of ensuring the salaries of the public sector employees for only the month of November, adding that salaries for the future period will require a legislative session.

Commenting on the latest popular movements, PM Salam regretted that the movements have shifted from their initial purposes, pointing out that the recent demands made are unachievable.
