General Security leader: Crackdown on Israeli and Islamist cells made Lebanon a target

General Security leader Major General Abbas Ibrahim said on Friday that Lebanon's clampdown on Israeli and Islamist cells made the country a target.

Ibrahim warned members of security apparatuses from passing on any data they know to anyone or through social media platforms.

Addressing these members, he stressed on the importance of not using their ranks for personal interests, but rather to benefit the general public, adding that foreigners and Lebanese nationals alike are to be respected fairly.
