Majdalani: Why is Bassil refusing to implement the lawæ

Future bloc MP Atef Majdalani described the electricity issue as purely technical, adding that the primary aim of any plan should be to improve the power supply in Lebanon, a vital issue for all citizens.
“The parliament should examine all details pertaining to the electricity plan starting with high-voltage power lines and tax collection”, Majdalani told Voice of Lebanon radio station.
Majdalani wondered: “Why is Energy Minister Gebran Bassil refusing to implement the law and insisting on appointing his own advisors to manage and supervise the plan?”
Speaking on the Syrian uprising, Majdalani said that the League of Arab States (LAS), the European Union and the wider international community agreed that bloodshed and oppression in Syria must end.
