Gemayel: Hezbollah has no right to impose confrontation

MP Sami Gemayel said that by violating the Constitution, democracy, equality and freedom are empty principles. “Political sectarianism cannot be annulled in Lebanon in the presence of religious parties and a sectarian mentality”, he said.

Asked if the LAF were able to face Israel, Gemayel wondered during a student meeting: “Is Lebanon stronger than Egypt, Syria and Jordan? And why is Syria not resisting when its territories are in turmoil?”

Gemayel added that Hezbollah does not have the right to impose confrontation with Israel, calling for dialogue at the Parliament.
