Charbel: security measures on the ground to continue, issues with Al-Assir will be resolved

Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel said on Thursday that the majority of arrested persons detained following the security kick off were in fact wanted for a range of felonies adding that the names of others are now within the Ministry’s hands.

In a talk to LBCI Charbel announced that heightened security measures will continue on the ground and that issues with Sheikh Ahmad Al-Assir will soon be resolved especially since the issue of extra state arms is being discussed on the table of dialogue.

For their part Amal and Hezbollah officials have complied with the Ministry’s security implementation on the ground stating that “no one is above the law”, he added.
