Mufti Qabbani urges Lebanese to consent to avoid strife

Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani said on Friday that discord will erupt among the Lebanese if they do not work to reach a consensus.

"We, religious and political leaders, are responsible for our country especially following the latest security events," Qabbani said in a statement. He warned of having the political chaos turn into a security one, “destroying the country and its people.”
