Geagea regrets use of "escort" instead of "kidnap" in Bkayaa statement
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said that he owes House Speaker Nabih Berri all the love and respect, adding that lines of communications with him are always open.

In a press conference he held on Tuesday, Geagea said that some of what is going on at the Parliament is unacceptable, adding “the Parliament turns into a beehive to finalize some draft laws while others are just kept in the drawers”, he said.

Geagea stressed that his decision to boycott today’s Parliament session was not based on sectarian reasons.

Commenting on the Bkayaa incident, Geagea regretted the use of the term “escort” instead of “kidnap” in the General Security statement over the incident, praising the stances of both the Prime Minister and the President in this regard. Geagea  called on officials to summon the Syrian ambassador.

On another note, Geagea hoped that all the residents of the northern district of Koura would participate in the subsidiary elections expected to take place on July 15.
