Tripoli roads re-open

Roads leading to the Abdul Hamid Karami Square in Tripoli were reopened Friday afternoon after they had been blocked with cars, tires, and metal barriers in preparation for noon prayers.

Taqwa Mosque Shiekh Salem Al-Rifai who had lead the prayers delivered a speech for the occasion of the one year commemoration of the death of Bab el-Tabbaneh’s Khoder Al-Masri.

The ISF was present to ensure apt security. Friday’s movement comes under the slogan of “we want to know who killed Khoder Masri.”

An anti-Assad protest was earlier staged following the Friday prayers, during which protesters repeated slogans showing support of the Syrian people and denouncing the crimes committed against him.

The protest started from the Mosque of Tinal, all the way to Abd al-Hamid Karami Square.
