Comprehensive study of the Qannoubine valley to be launched soon
The sacred valley of Qannoubine can fairly be summed up as the combination of a myriad of cultural and environmentally diverse eras, leaving behind monasteries and caves, some of which are the “work of God” and others dug by the inhabitants across the centuries.

And so in those regards, a comprehensive study will be launched upon the visit of Lebanese president Michel Sleiman set for the 18th of August to inaugurate the uncovering of four sculptures depicting Maronite Patriarchs.

In this context, Project Coordinator of the Qannoubine Cultural Association Survey George Arab said in an interview with LBCI that the first phase of implementing the study extends over five years as some issues require more time.

He added that the project is the first of its kind in the history of the Eastern Church. Films and documentaries will also be produced to outline the history and legacy of the Qannoubine valley, with the museum and library overhauled.
