Nasrallah: We refuse that the other party’s participation in dialogue turns into blackmail
Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Wednesday that Hezbollah is not intending to boycott the national dialogue, refusing that the other party’s participation in the dialogue turns into blackmail against the president and the government.

During an “Iftar” banquet held by the Islamic Resistance Support Association under his auspices, Nasrallah stressed that the government’s fate is not related to this dialogue table, calling on the dialogue’s participants to draw a liberation strategy and a defense strategy.

“If the state does not draw a strategy, the residents of south Lebanon and all Lebanese citizens have the right to say that there is an occupied land and we will fulfill our duty”, he said.

Nasrallah said that Hezbollah was the first to present a defense strategy during dialogue sessions, adding that anything said otherwise is "pure insolence". Nasrallah said that Hezbollah’s suggested defense strategy has not been discussed yet “since the only thing required is the Resistance’s disarmament”.

Nasrallah reiterated that the appropriate strategy now would include a strong army and a powerful resistance that would coordinate in complete harmony.
