Introduction to the evening news 03-08-2012

Everything happens in Lebanon without anybody knowing how it starts, or how it ends, but everyone wins.     

The great example of how everybody wins is the EDL contract workers’ issue. After the one-hundred-day war, the sit-in was removed, the workers got their demands. They were told the news by Bassam Tleys, listed among those who do not pay their bills, and his bill exceeds 15 million LBP.           

The agreement was announced, but what happened to the “Naas agreement” between FPM, Kataeb and Lebanese Forces? It was replaced by the agreement of Hezbollah, Amal, FPM and Marada.            

In the “Republic of Compromises”, everything happens to the point of creating a law to hold a skills test for the contract workers. According to this test, the contract workers will be granted tenure, while the ninety-five-day long sit-in is just a right to struggle.       

The week of compromises ends with reaching three of them: one with Sheikh Assir, another with the contract workers and the last with the teachers.
