Sheikh Qabalan: The Middle East does not need empty statements

The vice-president of the Higher Shiite Islamic Council Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan said that Middle Eastern countries need innovative ideas, strong initiatives and more awareness in order to create a change from the inside to put these countries on the right track.

Sheikh Qabalan said that Lebanese society has to abstain from empty statements, false bids and political maneuvering which will not benefit anyone.

After his meeting with members of the Islamic Council of Senegal Saadallah Khalil and Abdullah Saad, Sheikh Qabalan stressed that the Lebanese residents and the diaspora must cooperate closely as they “form the wings of a strong Lebanon”.
