Bazzi meets Aoun, presses for enhanced cabinet performance

Amal Movement MP, Ali Bazzi, said on Tuesday that all anti-cabinet criticism aims at pushing it towards better productivity.

Following a meeting with the Free Patriotic Movement leader, General Michel Aoun, Bazzi said his visit came within the frame of his party's invitation to Nabatieh's (South Lebanon) 35th commemoration of missing Imam Moussa Sadr.

“We remain adamant on following up the case of the missing Imam”, Bazzi confirmed.

"I came here to extend an invitation [for Aoun] to attend the festival, as for our point of view concerning the status of the cabinet, we have expressed on more than one occasion," said Bazzi, making clear that the aim of any anti-cabinet rhetoric was to encourage improved output.
