Decisive meeting in Istanbul to release the Lebanese detainees

Sheikh Salem Al Rafei is currently holding a decisive meeting with the Syrian Association of Muslim Scholars delegation in Istanbul to discuss the release of the Lebanese detainees in Syria.

The discussions’ results will be announced following the meeting which is expected to end Sunday afternoon.

Sources confirmed to LBCI that Sheikh Rafei will be heading to Syrian-Turkish borders with the Syrian Association of Muslim Scholars delegation in case the two parties reached an agreement on releasing the Lebanese detainees.

Meanwhile, circulating information revealed that the judiciary committee of the Free Syrian Army will issue a statement concerning the Lebanese detainees. The committee is waiting for the negotiations to end to issue its statement.

It is also said that a Turkish delegation will be visiting Lebanon to meet with the Mokdad Clan and negotiate the release of the Turkish detainee in Lebanon.
