Lebanon chairs the Arab League Ministerial Council
Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour received from his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah the tasks of chairing the 138th Council of Arab Foreign Ministers for six months. In his speech during the summit of Arab Foreign Ministers, Mansour confirmed that Lebanon will seek to find solutions for the Syrian crisis.

The Minister stated that the Syrian crisis is not reserved to Syrian territory; instead, it is negatively affecting Lebanon, and finding a solution for this issue is a national duty and an Arab interest.

On the other hand, Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi declared that the Quartet that Egypt suggested its formation to solve the Syrian crisis comprising of Egypt, KSA, Iran, and Turkey will meet without specifying a precise date.

Stressing that Egypt refuses any foreign military intervention in Syria, Morsi called for intensifying Arab efforts to find solutions.

Morsi addressed the Syrian leaders saying: " your presence will not last for long, and the time for change has come".
