Maronite leaders discuss electoral law at Bkerke

A meeting between Lebanese Maronite leaders will be held on Friday at Bkerke patriarchate to discuss the electoral law.

Thirty five Maronite MPs and other figures concerned with elections will participate in the meeting.

The Quadripartite committee, composed of representatives of rival Christian groups, had earlier held a series of meetings discussing possible electoral formulas that they will display during the meeting.

An-Nahar daily reported that the quadripartite committee will present the proposed formulas in Bkerke, from those plans they believe to be the most just and representative to those they deem less acceptable for Lebanon.
