A campaign dubbed “Tripoli’s initiative, my city” and a number of associations and citizens held a sit-in Friday before Tripoli’s vandalized KFC, which was burned by some youths last Friday, in protest against the publications of the anti-Islam Youtube film “Innocence of Muslims”.

The coordinator of the campaign Samer Debliz, in a statement, validated the anger expressed by citizens however denounced the acts of public vandalism of private and public institutions.

In this context, the head of Tripoli security forces unit General Bassam Ayoubi said 14 individuals involved in the attack against the KFC restaurant in Tripoli have been rounded up in a wide security sweep.

He added that the security forces are also pursuing 22 more individuals involved in the attack against the American fast food chain.
