PM Diab meets Association of Private Educational Institutions delegation
Prime Minister Hassan Diab chaired on Thursday a meeting with a delegation of the Association of Private Educational Institutions and Free Private Schools from all governorates in Lebanon, in the presence of the PM’s Education Advisor, Ghada Awada.
The meeting took stock at the conditions of schools in Lebanon, and the delegation also made a series of demands to PM Diab, including the exemption of schools from paying dues to guarantors and the speedy approval of the law prepared by the National Education Commission.

PM Diab promised to follow up on the issue with the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Tarek Majzoub in order to remove obstacles facing the educational sector and pay the dues for free schools the soonest.
After the meeting, Mr. Wahib Dandash, speaking on behalf of the delegation, said: “On behalf of the Association of Private Educational Institutions in Lebanon, we thank Prime Minister Hassan Diab for receiving us to raise our concerns and problems, as one educational family comprised of parents, teachers, students and private schools owners. We were surprised to see that PM Diab was well aware of the suffering of our schools over all Lebanese territory; he promised to follow up on our file with his Education Advisor, Dr. Ghada Awada, in order to reach a solution that allows the continuity of our institutions, to the satisfaction of parents and teachers alike. PM Diab assured us that the education file features on top of the Cabinet’s priorities”.
