A media tour to Litani river and Qaraoun dam

“Friends of Ibrahim Abdul-'Al”, organized a media tour to Qaraoun water reservoir area on Sunday under the auspices of Information minister Walid Daouk and senior ministry officials.

Taking the word during the first stop of the tour at Hotel Masabki, minister Daouk favored "shedding light on pollution problems of the Litani River and Qaraoun water reservoir." He added that this ought to be done in order to devise appropriate solutions to such long-standing problems.

The minister urged further cooperation between public and private sectors and non-profit-making associations in pursuit of such end.

Visitors were later shown around Qaraoun water reservoir area by an engineer who brought to attention the importance of the dam for irrigation and power-generating purposes.

The visiting delegation finally inspected Abdul-'Al factory in Markaba-West Bekaa.
