Geagea: Cabinet should demarcate Lebanon’s three borders
Lebanese Forces Leader Samir Geagea confirmed on Thursday that “the government is fulfilling all its obligations in regard to demarcation of Lebanon’s maritime borders, but it seems that it has forgotten that, in fact, Lebanon shares three borders, not only with Israel, but also with Cyprus and Syria. I believe these borders need to be demarcated as well, regardless if Lebanon has an existential problem with Cyprus or a critical issue with Syria.”

Geagea stressed, following his meeting with Zahle bloc MPs, that the government should fully preserve the Lebanese people’s interests and work on demarcating all of the Lebanese borders.

In his concluding remarks, Geagea urged the government, parliament and the Public Works, Transport, Energy and Water Committee to move quickly on the maritime borders’ demarcation so that the exclusive economic zone may be clearly defined.
