REPORT: Physically challenged people demonstrate outside HQ

The Lebanese Union of the physically challenged people organized on Monday a sit-in outside the headquarters of the Lebanese University.

The union’s members called for including their rights in the developmental strategy which the university has referred to the Ministry of Education, stressing that this plan does not respect equity since it did not consider the physically challenged people and their rights.

In this context, Lebanese University President promised the protestors that their rights will be preserved.
