Industry Minister Boujikian says an MOU has been signed for industrial cooperation between Iraq, Lebanon

Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Thursday with Industry Minister George Boujikian, whereby the latter briefed him on the results of his visit to Iraq as well as the “fruitful” talks he held with his Iraqi counterpart Manhal al-Khabbaz and the Economy Minister regarding strengthening cooperation between both countries.

Boujikian also mentioned that during his visit to Iraq he had signed a memorandum of understanding with Minister al-Khabbaz for an industrial cooperation with Lebanon.

For his part, Mikati asked to activate cooperation between the two countries’ ministries and departments in all sectors and fields, adding that “he will hold a ministerial meeting for this reason next Monday.”
