LAF execute security measures on the occasion of New Year

For the occasion of the New Year's celebrations, army units executed various security measures across places of worship and their surroundings as well as main roads, shopping centers, public institutions and touristic facilities in order to maintain public safety and assure the citizens' well being.

Security measures include the spread of forces and patrols as well as setting checkpoints.

It is worth noting that the Army Command warned citizens not to shoot celebratory gunfire come New Year's in order to preserve public safety and added that any person who violates this issue will be arrested and legally followed.
