Abadi and Erslan discuss Iranian peace initiative

Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi met on Sunday with the Head of the Lebanese Democratic Party MP Talal Arslan. The two discussed the Iranian peace initiative to solve the Syrian crisis.

In this context, Erslan stressed on the importance of Iran’s role in the region, stating that the Iranian initiative describes the reality of the events occurring in Syria.

For his part, Roknabadi said that the essence of this initiative is putting an end to the violence and bringing the calm back to Syria while meeting the demands of the people.
