Gemayel: Christianity has its roots in Arab soils

The head of the Kataeb Party President Amin Gemayel said that Christianity has its roots deep down in the Arab world, stressing on the Christian role in enriching the culture and values of the Middle East.

After meeting Egypt’s top cleric Ahmed el-Tayeb head of al Azhar Mosque, Gemayel praised his wise stances amid the critical situation in Egypt, adding that his meeting focus on current issues in the Middle East as well as the bilateral relation in the country between Muslims and the Coptic sect.

On the other hand, Al Azhar cleric Ahmed el Tayeb revealed that a dialogue between top Christian and Muslim figures in Egypt will be held soon to stress on the importance of the national unity to preserve the harmony in the Egyptian society
