MP Robert Ghanem: Adwan's proposal ensures political balance

The head of the parliamentary sub-committee MP Robert Ghanem said, following the session, that the proposal presented by MP George Adwan takes into consideration the criteria placed by the committee and ensures political balance, stressing that tomorrow’s session will tackle the proposals of the other colleagues.

For his part, MP George Adwan declared that he presented his proposal on behalf of the Lebanese Forces, noting that it takes into account the concerns of all parties.

However, Adwan added that he will accept any amendment upon the request of the committee’s members, stressing that all the remarks made during the discussions are subject to analysis.

Upon entering parliament, Kataeb MP Sami Gemayel briefly discussed his electoral proposal stating that some points need a specialized committee for further study.

As for MP Ali Fayyad, he said that the Christian representation is the main issue and added that the law of proportionality ensures just representation.
