Kahwaji: LAF protects Lebanon against external aggression

LAF Commander Brig. Gen. Jean Kahwaji highlighted on Tuesday the key role that the LAF plays in protecting Lebanon against any external aggression and in fighting against terrorism.

Kahwaji wrapped up his visit to the U.S. where he met with military officials and politicians to discuss the situation of the special units and training institutions as well as means to leverage their capabilities in favor of the LAF.

In their turn, U.S. officials commended the great efforts deployed by the Lebanese military leadership to boost the LAF capabilities, highlighting their commitment to the historical cooperation between the armies of both countries and to the U.S. resolution to develop the U.S. assistance program to the LAF.
