President Sleiman follows up Arsal's shelling

President Michel Sleiman met on Thursday with Lebanese Army Commandern General Jean Kahwagi who briefed him on the shelling targeting the regions of Arsal, Al-Dbabiyeh, al-Kawashira.

LAF Commander Kahwagi announced that "no military reasons were behind the shelling", saying that the Lebanese Army command referred the related documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Sleiman also met with caretaker Minister of Information Walid Daouk whereby they discussed the need to control political rhetoric in media resources.

Separately, the president also met with former deputy Prime Minister Issam Abou Jamra, State Prosecutor Hatem Madi and Police Chief Brigadier Joseph Doueihi.
