President Sleiman: Violations committed by ‘Israeli enemy’ drag on

President Michel Sleiman said on Sunday that the ‘Israeli enemy’ is still threatening Lebanon after Israeli military aircraft violated again the Lebanese airspace today, which constitutes also a blatant violation of UN resolution 1701.

In this context, Sleiman pointed out that “the international community and the UN Security Council should impose pressure on Israel in a bid to stop using such methods.”

“Israel should be aware that peace and stability can only be reached if it is committed to the peace process in the region on the basis of the Madrid Conference and the opportunity that the Beirut’s Arab Summit had granted in 2002,” Sleiman added.
