Four Syrian shells hit the al-Qasr town in Hermel

Four Syrian mortar shells landed on Saturday on the outskirts of the al-Qasr town in Hermel without leaving any casualties.

On Monday, President Sleiman held a security meeting at the Baabda Palace with Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and other security officials whereby they discussed the issue of the Syrian violations.

Following the meeting, Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour said the safety of all Lebanese citizens is the state’s duty pointing out that the Foreign Affairs Ministry will take all necessary measures to put an end to such attacks.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should prepare the necessary documents in order to refer a memorandum to the Arab League,” Minister Abou Faour said.

Abou Faour added that the Ministry of Foreign affairs will ask the United Nations to hold an extraordinary session for the Security Council in order to tackle the file of the refugees.
