Sleiman meets Nahhas, De Freij, Madi

        
President Michel Sleiman held several meetings on Thursday at the Baabda Presidential Palace, where he followed up on a number of issues in regards to political, economic, judicial and security affairs.       

In this context, Sleiman held a meeting with Caretaker Economy and Trade Minister Nicolas Nahhas whereby both officials tackled the latest developments, the economic situation as well as the actions undertaken by the Ministry in order to enhance the economic sector.        

Sleiman also met with Future Bloc MP Nabil de Freij and discussed the parliamentary consultations being held in a bid to adopt a new law for the upcoming parliamentary elections.         

In this regard, Sleiman tackled with Former minister Elias Skaff the political affairs as well as the situation in Zahle and the neighboring areas.           

It is also worth noting that General Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi held a meeting with President Sleiman whereby he briefed him on the work of the judiciary, stressing the need to bring all criminals to justice and to expedite the issuance of indictments.
