National Islamic Gathering convenes, tackles Bedawi's buildings violations

The National Islamic Gathering held a meeting on Saturday at the home of MP Mohammed Kabbara in Tripoli.

Ministers Ahmad Karami and Ahmad Safadi participated in the meeting along with MPs Samir el Jisr, Khaled Daher, Mouiine el Merhebi, as well as Muslim clerics, and top security officials.

The officials tackled the security situation in Tripoli and the campaign launched by the ISF to remove the building violations.

They called on the security apparatus to be firm while dealing with the building violations in the region of Bedawi, slamming the attacks carried out by buildings' owners against the ISF and LAF.

This come after the Internal Security Forces deployed  in the Bedawi region in Tripoli to remove building violations.

The state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported that the ISF units entered the area accompanied by military carriers and ISF foot patrols.

No disputes between the security forces and the owners of the violating buildings were reported.

Last week, the ISF started a campaign to remove building violations in the aforementioned area.
