Syrian mines being planted along border near Wadi khaled
Wadi Khaled residents confirmed Monday that the Syrian army is planting mines along the border.

The residents told the LBCI News team in the field that the mines are hindering their movement as well as that of their livestock, fearful of setting off the mines that can be seen by the naked eye.

The Army command confirmed that it is carrying on with its mission aimed at controlling the borders and preventing smugglers and armed men from crossing into Syria.

Army command also confirmed in a statement that it is coordinating with its Syrian counterparts as needed and in line with the agreements inked between both countries in a bid to resolve any security issues along the shared border.
