Cabinet refers bill to Parliament to temporarily suspend Article 112 for 2026 expatriate voting

Lebanon’s Cabinet has referred a draft law to Parliament that proposes a one-time suspension of Article 112, based on the format adopted in 2022.

The measure would allow Lebanese citizens living abroad to vote for all 128 parliamentary seats in the 2026 elections without fully abolishing the article.
