Sleiman denounces Syrian shelling on Lebanese towns

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman denounced on Sunday the missile attack that Lebanon’s Hermel region witnessed, and called on conflicting parties in Syria to respect Lebanon's sovereignty.

Sleiman also condemned the Israeli over flights and mock-raids over Lebanon, particularly over southern Lebanon, stating that these raids are an obvious breach of the UN resolution 1701.

Earlier on Sunday, 5 Syrian shells landed in the outskirts of the Hermel town, but no casualties were reported.
