Israeli army spokesman urges depositors to withdraw funds from Al-Qard Al-Hasan

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee on Friday called on Lebanese residents who hold accounts with the Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association to withdraw their money immediately.

In a statement posted on X, Adraee addressed account holders in the association, warning them to “quickly withdraw your money immediately before it disappears.”

He said the Israeli military had carried out a wave of airstrikes in recent days targeting the association across Lebanon, describing it as a financial institution that funds Hezbollah.

According to Adraee, the strikes left the association no longer operational and unable to provide services to the public. He alleged that, despite this, funds were still being transferred to Hezbollah members “at the expense of the money belonging to other Lebanese.”

Adraee urged people with accounts at the association to immediately contact branch managers and local employees to retrieve their funds.

“If you do not act quickly, you will not be able to do so, and all your money will go to Hezbollah’s treasury,” he said.
