Israeli army issues evacuation warning for several neighborhoods in Beirut’s southern suburbs

The Israeli army issued an urgent warning on Friday calling on residents of several neighborhoods in Beirut’s southern suburbs to evacuate immediately.

In a post on X by Israeli army Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee, residents of the Dahiyeh were specifically urged to leave the areas of Haret Hreik, Ghobeiry, Laylaki, Hadath, Borj El Brajneh, Tahouitet El Ghadir, and Chiyah.

According to the statement, the Israeli army said the activities of Hezbollah in these areas were forcing it to take action against the group. The army added that it does not intend to harm civilians but warned residents to evacuate the neighborhoods immediately and not return until further notice.

The Israeli military also cautioned that anyone present near Hezbollah members, facilities, or military equipment could be at risk, urging residents to leave the area for their own safety.
