President Joseph Aoun follows case of detained journalists in southern Lebanon

President Joseph Aoun said he has been following developments surrounding the detention of journalists Zeinab Faraj and Amal Khalil in the town of At Tiri in southern Lebanon following Israeli shelling of the area.

Aoun called on the Lebanese Red Cross to work on securing the journalists and their colleagues, in coordination with the Lebanese army and international forces, in order to complete the rescue operation as quickly as possible.

He also renewed his call to refrain from targeting media workers while they are carrying out their professional duties.
