Israeli army issues urgent evacuation warning for Tyre and surrounding areas

The Israeli military issued a renewed urgent warning on Thursday to residents of the city of Tyre, nearby camps, and surrounding neighborhoods, according to maps published with the notice.

The warning stated that, in light of what it described as violations of the ceasefire and continued activity by Hezbollah, the army is “forced to act with force” against the group, adding that it does not intend to harm civilians.

Residents were instructed to immediately evacuate their homes and move north of the Zahrani River for their own safety.

The notice specifically named several areas in and around Tyre, including: Chabriha, Hamadiyeh (Tyre), Jal al-Bahr, Zaqouq al-Mafdi, el-Buss, Maachouq, Borj el-Chmali, Nabaa, al-Housh, al-Rashidieh, and Ain Baal.

The army warned that proximity to Hezbollah members, infrastructure, or military equipment could endanger lives, adding that any building used for military purposes may be targeted.
