Soueid: Lebanese figures will collapse along with the Syrian regime

March 14 General Secretariat coordinator Fares Soueid said Monday that “If the Syrian regime falls in the upcoming months, the Lebanese figures orbiting around the Syrian regime will collapse as well.”

Soueid told Voice of Lebanon that “it is a moral obligation to preserve the notion of justice in Lebanon”, adding that “this subject is not limited to funding the STL, and cannot be boiled down to a technical issue called international Tribunal.”

Asked about possible political assassinations as insinuated by the interior minister, Soueid denied holding any information about the subject, adding that “this statement is made by the highest security official in Lebanon which prompts people to believe that the assassination chain will emerge again.”
