White House: Iranian threat to Israel is 'real'

The White House affirmed on Friday that Iran's threats against Israel in response to an attack attributed to the Israeli state, targeting the Iranian consulate in Damascus earlier this month, are 'real.'

John Kirby, spokesperson for the US National Security Council, told reporters, ''We still consider Iran's potential threat to be real and credible, and the United States intends to do everything possible to ensure Israel's ability to defend itself.''
