Khamenei appoints major general Abdolrahim Mousavi as Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff

Iranian state television reported that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has appointed Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi as the new Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.

Mousavi previously served as the commander-in-chief of Iran’s Army and is known as a close and trusted figure within the military leadership. His appointment comes at a time of heightened regional tensions.
