For the first time, Palestine to compete in Miss Universe 2025

For the first time in its history, Palestine will take part in the Miss Universe pageant, with Nadine Ayoub set to represent the country at the 74th edition of the global competition on November 21 in PakKret, Thailand.

Ayoub, who was crowned Miss Palestine in 2022, announced the news on social media, sharing a photo of herself in a dress embroidered with traditional Palestinian patterns designed by Hiba Abdel Karim, whose creations have been worn by prominent figures including Queen Rania of Jordan.

Ayoub previously made history in 2022 as the first Palestinian to compete in the Miss Earth pageant, where she placed in the top five.

She said her decision to enter Miss Universe now was shaped by the difficult humanitarian situation in her homeland.

"I am proud to take this journey, especially at this time, when we all need to be a voice for Palestine," she said.

Lebanon will also be represented at the international event by Sarah Leena Abou Jaoude, first runner-up to Miss Lebanon 2024 Nada Koussa.
