REPORT: Intensive security measures implemented in Sidon, traders complain

The security forces and the municipal police in the southern city of Sidon started implementing security measures in the commercial markets, as an application to the decision issued by Sidon’s municipality and the Association of Traders of Sidon and its suburbs in order to preserve security.

These moves led to a division in the positions of Sidon’s traders, as some of them support the implementation of the said measures, while others reject it especially after banning vehicles from passing through the markets’ main entrances.
